The German word „Rausch“ can be translated as inebriation or intoxication, often associated with drunkenness. Apart „Rausch“ describes a mental state, also having an effect on the body, which might be sought for to excel one’s „normal“ status. It can be caused by alcohol, other drugs or corporal exercises, like sport, dance, sex… The „Rausch“ can detach us from everyday life; it can make us remember or forget; we can feel lightly, happy; it can turn us aggressiv and sad; it can make us not feel anything for a moment.
